Intuitively Innovative – Lens Launcher

I like to personalize Smartphones, the stock setup does the job but then again, it is what you see in most of the phones. I was looking at various options to customize the screen and icons. Apparently, I came across a very unique launcher, it was an experiment, that won the 2016 Android Experiments awards, known as Lens Launcher.

The launcher  is the sort of app that replaces the way in which you interact with your apps on  your phone – instead of just flat trays of apps, you’ll have something completely different. Nick rout, the developer changed the way you see your apps, using a sort of “Graphical Fish-eye Lens” to make seeking out apps easier in some cases, and far more entertaining in others.

This launcher for Android uses this sort of seeking ability in two unique features:

• An Equi-spaced Grid that displays all of your apps, regardless of screen size or app count.

• A Graphical Fish-eye Lens to quickly zoom, pan and launch apps using touch gestures.

For those who are interested, you can see the code for this app in full on Github.

Like all the experiment apps, you can find this launcher on Google Play Store.

It is not much of a customization, but the interface is worth trying and it is extremely accurate. Try and let me know. PEACE!
